The Vision of CMFE
CMFE’s mission is to spread the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to the tribal and poor people of the Philippines. With the power of the Holy Spirit, the authority of Holy Scripture, we are committed to show God’s love. Upholding the Great Commission, CMFE also plants new churches and trains new church leaders to teach the Kingdom of God.
CMFE 4th Pastors and Worker’s Conference Theme: The Heart of a Servant
This March 23-26, CMFE celebrated its 4th Pastors and Workers Conference in Seguil Calvary Church in the outskirts of General Santos City, in the island of Mindanao, Philippines. It was a truly uplifting and spiritually grounding event. The conference in Mindanao clearly emphasized both the practicality of ministry (feeding the poor, "change pulpits," and fasting) and the depth of servant leadership. The pastors also enjoyed the fellowship singing praises, each district performing worship songs, dining together and playing bible games.
Core Lessons on Leadership
• The Pastor as a Shepherd: Pastor Tula highlighted that leadership isn't just about oversight; it’s about being on the "frontlines." Taking care of the flock involves both organization and spiritual protection.
• Strength through Christ: As the "cornerstone," Christ is the source of resilience. When trouble arises, the leadership’s first response is prayer and supplication rather than selfreliance.
• Servant Leadership: Pastor John Mark’s message on the washing of the feet (John 13) served as a powerful reminder that no leader is "greater than his master." True discipleship is evidenced by love and humility, not just title or position.
Ministry Impact by the Numbers
The reach of the CMFE (Calvary Ministries Far East) during this conference was significant:
• 84 Pastors and Workers in attendance.
• 47 Churches represented.
• 11 Districts involved.
Key Scripture Focus
The conference anchored itself on two powerful passages:
1. 1 Peter 4:10-11: Emphasizing that every gift received is meant for the service of others so that God receives the glory.
2. John 13:13-35: Defining the "New Commandment" to love one another as the primary identifier of a follower of Christ.
It’s wonderful to see the commitment to community through the District Feeding programs and the collaborative spirit of the "change pulpits" initiative. The fellowship at Seguil Calvary Church has provided a strong second wind for these leaders!
Aside from the districts holding youth fellowships, all the districts are planning youth camps this summer.
