God is our Refuge and Strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Psalm 45:1 CMFE asks for prayer for those suffering in Mindanao, Philippines
Mindanao Earthquake: A powerful 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit the southern island of Mindanao killing at least 55 people and leaving a trail of destruction.
The earthquake has left a trail of destruction including landslides that have buried houses. General Santos City and its surrounding territories is home to several CMFE churches and members.
Some CMFE churches were affected. One of the worst was the largest of the CMFE churches, Tamneg Calvary church. Attached are before and after pictures. CMFE members have asked for help.
Currently, CMFE is contacting its pastors and district missionaries to see if there are more members who are affected by the earthquake. We are being informed by the churches which have
received minor damage that some of the CMFE church leaders cannot report because of having no power or damage to the roads and infrastructure. Some churches and their leaders are in the landslide area.
DONATIONS NEEDED
“For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger, and you invited me in. I needed clothes and you clothed me. I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me…The King will reply, “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’” -- Matthew 25: 35, 36, 40
